About The Industry:

MEGHMANI FINECHEM LIMITED - is a leading Exporter, Manufacturer ... Ch-1/Ch-2, Gidc Estate,
Opp. Luna Chemical, Po-Dahej, Tal-Bagra. MFL has identifies to set up CMS project of 40,000 Mt. Per
annum. There were two unit of Caustic Chlorine Plant one where caustic soda production was there
and another power plant for DM water and steam generation.
Introduction:

The department of Chemical Engineering, PIET, DS-1st shift, had organized a one day training
cum industrial visit on 18th August 2017 for the 3rd and 5th semester Diploma Chemical
Engineering Students

The Training program was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Hon.
Principal Prof. Ruchi Shrivastava The visit was Co ordinated by Head of the Department,
Mrs. Prabha Modi who had taken good efforts and initiative to conduct this Program and
under her continuous guidance, made this visit cum training a grand success

Total 59 students of Diploma Chemical along with 3 faculty members have participated.

A Brief Outlook:

The Students were first explained the flow sheet of the caustic soda lye plant and
functioning of the plant and then taken to the visit for the electrolysis process of the caustic
soda. Then the students were explained the DM water plant and the steam generation
plant of the unit. The students were also introduced to the DCS panel of the plant, how to
control the whole system of production.

At last the students were also certified for the one day training at Meghmani Finechem Ltd.
