A grassroots movement is started by people at the local level, rather than at the center of a major
political activity. The idea of grassroots is often conflated with participatory democracy. But it’s actually
the way to create a more equitable society.

E.g. UN’s Grassroots movements boost hopes for human rights

This movement is for mainly "How can any state's interests are advanced by policies that damage
the wellbeing of all humans” . Also in addition to improving women's rights, the UN Secretary-
General expressed alarm about the "shrinking civil space in every region of the globe" and a rise
in harassment, attacks and inflammatory rhetoric.

Specific Measures to Help the Poor:

1) Free food distribution


2) Donate to a charity that truly helps those who are in need
3) Sponsor children’s vaccination
4) Be the consistent voice of the poor. If you’re a blogger or a social media influencer, voice out for
the poor
5) Rehabilitation assistance
6) Teach them skills that can help them start or improve their livelihood
