TOPIC: ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

1. TOPIC NAME: ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

(number of periods: 09 – Grade 10)

2. DESCRIPTION: This lesson aims to help SS to:

 (Knowledge):Knowledge about environment issues and conservation in different


regions (Asia, Europe, North America...)

 (Language): learn some vocabulary concerning environment

 (Skill): practice a variety of linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and
21st century skills (collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity)

3. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, SS should be able to:

Language:

o Pronunciation: know how to pronounce some new vocabulary via presentation

o Vocabulary: certain theme-related vocabulary

Skills:

o collaboration (in groups), communication (in groups), critical thinking (self-reflection &
peer-reflection), creativity (powerpoint, clothes-making, mind map)

o speaking (presenters), reading (audience reading slides & scoring rubrics), listening
(audience), writing (reflection)

4. EQUIPMENT:

 PowerPoint presentation, Interactive board (ActivInspire program), electronic textbook,


Whiteboard, Whiteboard Markers, computer, projector, handouts, clothing items, mind
map…
