Psycho is an American film of the horror and suspense genre directed by Alfred
Hitchcock, considered today as one of his best films. The main actors in the film are
Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, John Gavin, Martin Balsam, and Janet Leigh. This film had
a budget of $ 800,000 and managed to raise around $ 60 million.

The filming location was in Hollywood (in Los Angeles, California) at Universal Studios.
The film was filmed in 1959 and released in the United States on June 16, 1960.

The story is set in a roadside motel, owned by Norman Bates, and next to the motel is a
house where Mr. Bates and his mother lives. One rainy night a young woman named
Marion Crane arrives at the place, requesting a room using a false name after stealing $
40,000 from her boss. Another night Marion decides to take a shower and go to bed.
When the young woman seems to be enjoying her shower, a shadow appears behind the
curtain and suddenly a person with a knife kill her. After a week, Marion's boyfriend and
her sister start looking for Marion, and they start a story full of mystery and suspense.

I really like this movie and I think it is too entertaining, although it is an old movie with
black and white images I think it’s a great movie that a lot of adolescents need to watch
and share with friends.
