4 Changed features SE 6.00 ==> SE 6.01

CPU error when using corrupt printer chip

As of SE6.01, the firmware generates a more descriptive message, instead of a CPU error, when
a chip problem occurs.

Startup ERROR [E#]

Please check
Printer Chip.
Switch power off

Specific errors:
 E[55]: no chip detected
 E[27]: unactivated service chip

All other errors:

There is a problem with the wallet chip. Please install a Service Chip.

5 Diagnostics SE 5.00 ==> SE 6.00

Fix Adjustment ' FillPattern plot

Some of the bars were printed using the wrong nozzle rows. Corrected.

6 Diagnostics SE 6.00 ==> SE 6.01

Starting up in Diagnostics mode

Please note: to start up in diagnostics: you must press the F2,F4 and DOWN key at the moment
you start the machine! When the text “Ink Jet Printer” appears, it is too late!
Hold down the keys until you hear a “beep” from the RJ mainboard.

7 Bug fixes SE 5.00 ==> SE 6.01

Paper cut error after sheetoff

In previous versions, after cutting media, the printer sometimes checked media presence too
early, resulting in an incorrect “Paper Cut Error”.

Printer “hang” after MediaCut

After cutting media, when trying to perform another action too soon, sometimes the printer would
not perform anything anymore. Fixed.

“Cover fan” setting initialization

When choosing “Initial” ==> “Utility”, the “CoverFan” setting changed to “Off”, but the fans did not
stop. Now, they do.

No more power on cleaning with incorrect cartridges

When “OnCleaning” is enabled, previous versions would perform the cleaning even when the
wrong cartridges (e.g. wrong colours in some slots) were loaded. Ink would be mixed
unintentionally. The new version will not perform that cleaning.

CPU error

When “ManualCut” was On, and media measurement set to “Roll LeftRightTop”, there was a
CPU error when performing slant check after printing Setup list.
This has been fixed.

Crash when entering Cut&Feed menu

When the Feed Adjust parameter is invalid due to parameter problems, the printer could crash
when entering the Cut&Feed menu ' Crash avoided.

HeaterTest cannot be started when performing a heater test

When a heater test was running, it was possible to return to the setup menu by pressing ENTER.
Then, you could start another heater test. It made things go wrong, for example “Error
WrongSensor” could happen.
Now, it is not possible anymore to return to the main menu while the heater test is running.
Additionally, when the test is finished, the text “press ENTER” is displayed.

Printer chip activation

When a printer chip was defect, it was not possible to activate a new service chip. This problem
is now fixed.

Cancelling media load procedure

The media load procedure can now be cancelled when the “Please remove retainers” screen
appears.

Denoising implementation of lever sensor input

To avoid false positive lever sensor failures, this countermeasure is implemented.
