Group Reflection Discuss the disposition for the week:
(after the lesson Megan: The lesson this week was very fun and went well! I do think
brief discuss your that we could’ve been better prepared and more direct with the
thoughts, objective. Still getting in the swing of teaching lessons again but we
questions, or
will get there! Overall the class went amazing and the kids were
wonderings, in
very engaged!
addition use track
changes to revise
lesson) Emily: We love this class already! There were things that we need
to work on, like stating the objective and being more prepared and
on the same page. Another thing we had not thought of is the
students levels. The students reading and writing levels were
needing more support than we had anticipated which definitely
affected the lesson. Overall, I think it went really well and I am
excited for this semester!

Mariah: I think this lesson went well! It was cool to have a “get to
know you” activity for the first day. I think my team and I would
have felt a little more comfortable if we had prepared some of the
things we wanted to say beforehand. Other than that, I am looking
forward to teaching more art lessons in this class!

teacher and Akard Mrs. Tourek’s Compliments:
the lesson plan 1. You did a terrific job of providing oral examples of your favorites
and and allowing students to raise their hands to show agreement and
C!/T.P./Standard excitement, and this helped build student anticipation for
(with date and engaging in the assignment.
time) 2. You did a nice job circulating around the room and answering
student questions and providing them assistance. You engaged
specifically with each group and child and did a good job kneeling
down so you were working at eye level with the students.
3. You did a good job providing a late arriving student with specific,
one-on-one directions for completing the assignment.
4. There were several times when you engaged with and built
rapport with students by asking them specific questions about
what they were placing on their t-shirts and why they liked a
certain food, color, etc.
5. You did a good job of wrapping up the lesson and complimenting
the students on the artwork they produced. You also built
anticipation for your next visit by telling them you will be back next
week for another lesson.

Mrs. Tourek’s Question:

1. Did you think about telling students how much time they would
have to complete the t-shirt, setting a timer to reflect the work
time, and then providing verbal cues about the time remaining for
completion of the assignment?

Tiedel: Compliment- students were so engaged! Great job modeling with

examples. Also, you all walked around to check understanding.
Comments: Have students read learning target!
