A Shift to 21st Century Education

Change is the only constant in this world. One of the changes is in the field of education.
Technological advancements penetrate the shift to 21st century education. The students are
more connected with the world. They will understand and be aware of the problems the world
is facing in the 21st century.

In 21st century education, it requires creativity, critical thinking, oral and written
communication skills, ability to use technology and how to address global issues. In the
classroom setting, teachers will just be serving as guide or facilitator not the traditional way of
teaching before where the teachers provided all the information. Furthermore, the students
will be given activities related to the issues in the local and global. Technology also plays a vital
part in 21st century learning. The use of internet, multimedia, and online learning help the
students to be more connected and knowledgeable. On the other hand, the schools be
equipped having learning centers and labs in order for students to eager to learn.

Thus, a shift to 21st century education sets the students to thrive in learning and to be
successful in the future but also being connected with the world.
