Observation :

In my classroom, we have a caterpillar tunnel for my students. They truly enjoy playing in this
tunnel and they would play in it for hours if they could. Through this observation, I learned that in
future lesson plans (maybe for creative art, depending on the theme) I can probably work on
making a tunnel for them. I also took note of this activity being DAP. They are enhancing their
gross motor skills, while interacting with their peers and myself. By discovering these
observations, I learned that it is always important to keep in mind what each of your students
are interested in.

Involved Experience :

In this picture, I was in the middle of

implementing my lesson plan. For my lesson
plan, I decided to include a sensory bin and
sensory cards. The sensory box contained
different objects such as animals, automobiles,
food, etc. The sensory cards that I had for my
lesson were more catered towards animals.
Each card had a different animal, the students
got the opportunity to feel different textures of
different animals. And with the sensory bin, the
students got the chance to discover different
objects. Through this experience, I learned that my students really enjoy mostly sensory
activities. They will take interest in other activities, but not as much as a sensory activity.
Unique Feature :

This is a bucket of sensory bottles

that are in my classroom. Two bottles
have pom poms, two other bottles
have beads, there’s one with rice,
and another with water and glitter.
On my first day of placement, this
was the first thing that caught my
attention. I thought it was amazing
that this was included in the
classroom. It is truly DAP, and the
children enjoy playing with these
bottles.By playing with these bottles,
the children are gaining a better
sense of different sounds, while also
enhancing their fine motor skills.
