The research question that I have decided to research was “ How does sleep affect you mentally and physically all around as a human?”. I wanted to learn more about this because sometimes I will become moody or happy with the amount of sleep that I get. In each article I see that they have sections of how sleep is affecting people, and more facts to learn about it. Sleep.org seems to have the most information that I can write off because it answers my question exactly how it is proposed. The article NHS states many other facts that help support my question and would have never thought of like “ Sleep makes you thin”. All these articles have a designated section of what to talk about, and how sleep affects us. In the articles there were not many disagreements between the articles. The articles seemed to be on the same page and both talked about how it affects your moods, and how getting enough sleep can slim you down and boost your immune system. The Harvard article goes in more depth about what moods it can put you in, for example depression, this was the only article that went into more depth. These articles, the more I read through them and annotate have the same views and thoughts on sleep. I think the most common misconceptions are when u sleep too much you gain weight and something mentally is wrong. This is why I wanted to do research on this question to understand how sleep works and the benefits of it. The only article I have some doubts in is the harvard article. This article does not go into much detail like the others, but it includes other information that may be useful. I think learning about this topic is very useful and will give me knowledge about what sleep really does to us. I really liked learning more of the moods and problems sleep may cause us, I hope many people will learn from this essay.
