An overview of what to expect when parking in

Indonesia...
There are no parking meters in Indonesia.
Police rarely ticket unattended cars for being illegally parked, and rarely do they tow cars away.
If a driver is present in a car that is parked on a pavement, they could be approached by a traffic
policeman and issued a warning and possibly a ticket.
There is ample free parking at malls and department stores. However, there are always parking
touts present who "help" drivers to park for a fee.
Parking touts are also present outside shops where there are parking places in the road.
