RE: Angie Miller

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend Mrs. Angela (Angie) Angie Miller for a teaching position. Angie was a student in two of my
courses at KU and her performance was exemplary. She was always prepared for class and made contributions that reflected
insight and sensitivity. I was also Angie’s university supervisor in her clinical experience (a.k.a. student teaching) and assure
you she performed admirably in an intermediate learning support classroom. Mrs. Miller understands the nature and needs of
students with disabilities and can tailor instruction according to those needs. Mrs. Miller was proactive in stating
expectations and following through with management. The cooperating teacher noted that Angie was excellent in content
knowledge as well as lesson planning. Angie submitted a progress monitoring assignment which showed her ability to make
instructional decisions is very good. These decisions reflected evidence-based practices for learners with special needs.
Angie’s work was always highly organized and extremely professional.

Angie also has excellent personal social skills which will serve her well in a variety of situations. She is friendly, outgoing, eager
to initiate actions, and willing to do her share. At all times, Angie is a team player, responding well to constructive feedback,
and implementing suggestions in a positive manner. Parents, colleagues and students will benefit from these qualities. Mrs.
Miller sees the inherent value in all learners and will always put their interests first.

Angie exhibited a professional disposition in all aspects of her teaching. She respects diversity in the classroom and gained the
respect of all students. She was self-motivated, dependable, cooperative and responsible. Angie’s patience, flexibility,
organization, and knowledge of special education will be an asset to her in the future. Angie demonstrated initiative
throughout the assignment and has developed into a confident and proactive teacher. She has the potential to be an excellent
teacher. She receives my highest recommendation without reservation.
