My life with one parent

My life has been through ups and downs

Most mentally, emotionally with lots of Frowns

I wonder if I would’ve been perfect like they say

Wealthier, smarter and getting it easier every day.

Single parenting from a child view was a struggle

Clueless about my dad everyday, but I still had to hustle

Moms was gaining her strength and praying to God

I watched her become happier I knew it wasn’t a fraud

I followed her footsteps as she led me to success

I knew that with one parent I was still blessed

An ignorant dad and a amazing mom is what I turned out to have

So single parenting is no joke, I don’t understand why you laugh

Just because I have no father in my life doesn’t make me any less of a person

Im Trinitee, I’m still me and I am worth it
