I. Narrative

March 13,2020 is regarded as the of International Day of Mathematics.

But why there’s a need for celebration of International Day of
Mathematics? Why Mathematics is important?
We celebrated International Day of Mathematics to appreciate the
importance of Mathematics as one of the subjects in school.
 As we all know, Mathematics can be a difficult subject for Elementary
school children to grasp. Mathematics is an effective way in building mental
discipline. Mathematics is everywhere. We used it in our everyday living.
Through these activities, we are helping children to promote interest, and
develop common sense using Mathematics in everyday lives.
On March 13, 2020 the Bulalacao Elementary School celebrated the
International Day of Mathematics. It is formally opened by singing of National
Anthem, Prayer and opening remarks of our school head Mrs. Estelita C. Ustaris.
Then it was followed by Multiplication exercise & Mathematics dance challenge
participated by all pupils from of the said school.

Then the competition stated. Different activities were conducted.

One of it is the Mathematics Quiz Bee participated by Level I (Grade 1-3) and
Level II (Grade 4-6). Next is the Hunt, Read and Solve comprised by 3 groups
from the selected pupils of Grade4-6. When all the contest is done, the most
awaited part of the program comes next which is the awarding of the certificates to
the winners. Enjoyment of the entire activity was evident on the students’ faces.

It was really an enjoyable and edifying event for the part of the
children and the teachers as well.
