ASSESSOR WORKSHEET
Number of assesment01
Name Loading preparation and cargo calculation
Function 7.03 Cargo Handling and Stowage at the Operation Level
Competence 2.1.2. Safe Handling, Stowage and Securing Cargo
Cargo care : Break Bulk Initial and Loading Homogeous cargo in Bulk
Task/Objective Culture of the Safety of the Vessel to maintaine and Affect of the Strength of
the Vessel, and other parameter during loading activity
Context Following the Loading Manual Condition Sequences in Loading and Trimming
Initial Condition Loading Homogeous Coal in Bulk at terminal Tarahan Lampung to Imabari Japan
Durarion 90 minutes
Briefing - Familiarization of the Computer Loading System
- Funcition of menus on the screen features of loading computer involving
- Understanding of reading the Strength Curve ( Bending and sheering force )
- How to configuration of loading sequences
- Understanding for conversion of Stowages Factor to from Feet to Metric ton
Action/Mission Initial condition
Ballast = Full ( Fill after you record your DWT) = MT (SG = 1,025)
Fresh Water = 250 tons
Diesel Oil = 175 KL SG = 0,87
Fuel Oil = 1700 KL SG = 0,92
Lub Oil = 18 KL SG = 0,82
Constant = 200 tonnes
DWT = Tonnes
Cargo SF = 43,5 Cuft/Tons
Cargo Book as per charter Party with Option 10% MOLO and Full And Down

First Run
Fill the the Cargo with 50 % ( in weight) at each Hatch base on DWT, Following deballasting
accordingly to maintain the strength condition less than 100 % and trim less than 3 mtr

Second Run
Fill the Last Cargo following the Sequences and deballasting. For trimming Cargo will
prepare 2000 ton to make trim for 0.3 m by stern
Determine the total Cargo after completion loading and trimming

Final
Distance Tarahan - Imabari = 2750 NM
Speed = 12 knots
Daily Consumption : FO = 15 tons , DO = 3 tons, FW = 10 tons DO for Manouvering = 7 ton
due to restric draft in Imabari , the Trim maintain at = 0,3 by stern.

To maintaine Trim, kindly ballasting or deballasting,. Please mention the area you ballasting
or deballasting ?
Debriefing 1. Any in correct item shall be investigated and discussed more closely
2. Comparing the final data with the real calculation with intact/ hydrostatic Calculated
Evidence 1. Print out Trim and Stability initial and Final
2. Strength of the Vessel Initial and Final
