Film Viewing and Reflection – “PANAHON NA! Ang hamon sa pinoy at climate change”

Every year there are many changes in the weather in our country. Sometime its raining
or sunny but everytime it changes we can’t change the fact that many people gets sick.
It can affect us in many ways when climate changes.We can get like fever, dengue,
cough, respiratory disease and etc. It’s not just in our health but also the business of
many people like farmers or fisherman that the only income they can have is doing that.

Climate change has the most serious challenges in our life because we can’t stop this
and we don’t know when it will happen. Climate change occurs when the global
temperatures gets higher or getting hotter in the earth.

According to the scientist from the short documentary film “PANAHON NA! Ang hamon
sa pinoy at climate change”, When the average temperature of the earth continue to get
high, the glacier from south and north pole will possibly melt and not only penguins and
polar bears can affect with the global warming but also in any ecosystem. All animals,
plants and other organism can affect in the climate change that can result in dying
animals or evacuting of animals in other places.

Coral bleaching is also one of its consequences. It happens when corals are stressed
by changes in condition such as teperature, light or nutrients that they expel the
symbotic algae living in their tissue which provides them food. When a coral bleaches, it
is not dead.

Climate change and global warming are harmful not only to us but also to nature and
animals. It affects our food and water supplies, as well as our condition. As an ordinary
Filipino, We should be responsible to our environment and we should act together to
take good care of the global warming. So we must prevent any activities tat can cause
climate change and global warming.
