Why Findland’s Schools Are So Successfull

For many years the school system in Finland has been very
successful. In the PISA survey, which compares reading, math and
science knowledge of 15 year olds around the world, Finland is not
only the top European country but also competes with Asian giants
like Shanghai, Singapore and South Korea. But what makes the
educational system in this small country so strikingly different from
others in the western world.

In short these are three more serious points why findland’s school are
so successful :

1. Education and learning must be a respected and admired part of

your culture. First of all, the Finish government makes it possible
for all children to attend preschool, which comes after kindergarten.
Compulsory education begins at 7. Teachers work with their pupils
in school as much as possible. They have little homework to do
when they get home. 

2. “Leave no child behind” was a slogan adopted in Finnish schools

long before it became popular in the US. Pupils with learning
difficulties are patiently brought up to the average level of their
classmates by teachers and assistants who give them the extra
attention and support they need to catch up.

3. You need high quality teachers with compassion. In contrast to

other nations teaching in Finland is a highly admired profession.
Finland selects its teachers very carefully.  Only talented students
can continue their education to a university and receive a master’s
degree in education. Finland only takes the best to educate its
youth.

My opinion :

If we compare between indonesian’s vs finland’s education system is

really different , first in indoensia sometimes the teacher just think
about how to get a big point in lesson , not how to get the knowledge
and how to improve the students skill or how to build studensts
character with this mindset it is gonna be a big pressure for students
how get a big point even that they must to do something bad like
cheating in a test . second our government doesnot really care about
education they doesnot make education as their priorty you can see
from how much money they give for education especially for
thecnology and research . and then indonesian’s government doesn’t
really care about the welfare of the teachers you can see from how big
salary the teacher get per month it is really low. but I hope we can get
some a positive things from finland’s education system to make our
education system be better to make a better generation .
 Character of Education

As we know that character of education is important. In the character of education need  

some effort to be success. Actually the purpose of education is not about make the someone
clever but also make the someone has a strong character. The concept of character is not
enough to be used as a points in the syllabus and plans to implementation of learning in the
school. Should more than that, we have to practice. Began to learn devout about role in the
school, and discipline. The school also make character of education as a value that thrive well
in the school, and we have to proof it. 

On the other hand, character of education is an effort to involve all interest in education, both
of them is a families, school, and environment on the society. Therefore, the first steps that
need to rebuild partnerships and networking education that seems to disconnected in the
school like teachers, family, and the community. The establishment character of education
would not success if there is no harmony. In the school, students have to get coaching the
good character. All of parents have to give an exemplary worth.  Thus the household and
family should be more support. Because family is the first process of the establishment
character of education. 
In addition, not least education in the community. The society is also influence in the
character of someone. Usually, in the society we can learn values, norms, customs and
ethics. For character of education, students have to teamwork discipline, devout, and
responsibility. The important thing is students must practice in the society. Therefore, need
implanted character of education in the students who would be the successor of a nation that
has the good character, dedicated high, honest and trusteeship.

Pendidikan Karakter
Seperti yang sudah kita tahu, bahwa pendidikan karakter itu penting. Dalam pendidikan
karakter membutuhkan beberapa usaha yang cukup untuk mewujudkannya. Sebenarnya,
tujuan dari pendidikan bukan hanya untuk membuat insan menjadi pintar tapi juga untuk
membentuk karakter yang baik. Pendidikan karakter juga seharusnya tidak hanya di konsep
berada dalam silabus dan RPP tapi juga harus di implementsikan langsung. Lebih dari itu,
kita harus mempraktikannya. Mulai dari taat pada peraturan sekolah, dan disiplin. Sekolah
juga harus membuat pendidikan karakter  berupa pengembangan nilai – nilai yang baik dan
kita harus melakukannya. 

Selain itu, mengembangkan pendidikan karakter juga tidak hanya di sekolah, tetapi juga
keluarga, dan lingkungan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, langkah pertama untuk membangun
pendidikan karakter adalah dimulai dari jaringan dan keharmonisan di sekolah. Diantaranya
ialah guru dan murid, keluarga dan kelompok- kelompok. Perkembangan pendidikan karakter
juga tidak akan sukses jika tidak ada keharmonisan. Di sekolah, para murid juga harus
mendapatkan pengawasan untuk pembentukan karakter yang baik. Para orang tua harus
memberikan contoh yang baik. Karenanya rumah tangga dalam keluarga juga harus
mendukung. Karena keluarga adalah proses pertama dalam pembentukan pendidikan
karakter.

Kemudian, pendidikan didalam kelompok – kelompok juga penting. Masyarakat juga sangat
berpengaruh dalam pembentukan karakter seseorang. Biasanya, di dalam lingkungan
masyarakat juga kita dapat belajar tentang nilai nilai disiplin, norma-norma, dan etika. Dalam
pendidikan karakter, siswa harus bekerja sama, disiplin, taat dan tanggung jawab. Hal yang
terpenting bagi siswa juga harus langsung praktek di masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, butuh
pengimplementasian pendidikan karakter  di diri siswa yang akan menjadi generasi penerus
bangsa, mereka juga harus mempunyai karakter yang baik, dedikasi tinggi, jujur dan amanah

Technology For Teens, Good or Bad?

Technology, today became one of the elements in the earth’s that
grows very fast. Technology in this context, is information and
communication.

We, as modern human, at this time is no wonder anymore when seeing

people using mobile phones wherever they are. In taxis, markets,
houses, and even when driving, people still use of their phones.

One the other hand, we see that the use of technology is dominated by
teenagers. They are very quick to accept and understand how to use
technology. There are many students from elementary, junior high
school, senior high school, and university that consistently using
technology ranging from mobile phones, computers, internet, and
games.

Is technology good or bad? Technology is a group of devices that can

be bad for the development of teenager’s life.
First, many spread of information between technology devices is not
filtered anymore. Information, whether it’s bad or good, it quickly
spreads from one device to another. As a result, many teens are
accessing p*rno*raphy and even addicted to access that bad content.

Various cases of s*xual harassment, r*pe, and pr*miscuity that exists

among teenagers today, many are caused by them who are very easy to
access the bad content using the Internet.

Second, the addiction to the internet and games, makes the teens
forget that they are social creatures who must interact with others. I
see many cases where people meet at a place, but they do not talk;
they just “chat” with their friends who are so far away. They prefer to
interact online using Facebook, Twitter, Path, Instagram, and other
social medias rather than interacting in real life by talking directly to
the people who are near them.

This is a contrary ideology for us, the people of Indonesia. We should

create a society that is tolerant and caring with each other. When this
situation continues, we will lose our identity. Indonesian teenagers will
grow up to be people who do not care about each other, do not like to
socialize, and do not even know the people around them.

Singkat

However, although the technology has a devastating effect, behind this

sophistication developed by humans, of course, it has many good
effects. First, technology is a device that is able to increase the speed
and effectiveness of information flow. We are no longer a conventional
man who must send a letter if we want to communicate with a long
distance friend and we are no longer human being who have to wait for
days to get a reply message from a friend. Nowadays, everything
became easier because of technology. We are able to send messages
using e-mail and SMS within a few seconds. We are able to chat with
old friends who haven’t met for a long time while she or he lives far
from where we live. We are able to chat with them using BBM,
Facebook, Whats Up Messenger, Line Messenger, and many more.

Second, technology is a very good business media campaign. We

certainly recognize the Internet, a medium of information that can be
accessed by millions people from all over the world, whenever and
wherever they want. When the Internet is used to promote a product,
then there must be many consumers who come to buy the product. The
marketing strategy by the Internet, is also used by teens. I find that
many high school or university students consistently having a business
by using Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or BBM. It
is the impact of technology that are very positive and should be
supported by everyone. Using the internet, a teenager does not need to
have a big fund to make a business. They do not have to prepare tens of
millions to rent a place as a store. They just need to utilize their mobile
phones to sell and make money.

melihat orang-orang menggunakan mobile phone dimanapun mereka
berada. Di taksi, pasar, rumah, dan bahkan ketika menyetir, seseorang
masih menyempatkan diri untuk menggunakan ponsel mereka.

Di lain pihak, kita banyak melihat bahwa penggunaan teknologi

didominasi oleh remaja. Mereka sangat cepat untuk menerima dan
memahami bagaimana menggunakan teknologi. Ada banyak siswa SD,
SMP, SMA, dan Universitas yang secara konsisten menggunakan
teknologi mulai dari ponsel, komputer, internet, dan game.

Apakah teknologi berdampak baik atau buruk? Teknologi adalah

sekelompok perangkat yang bisa berdampak buruk bagi perkembangan
kehidupan remaja.

Pertama, informasi yang menyebar di dalam rangkaian teknologi

banyak yang tidak terfilter. Informasi, apakah itu buruk atau baik,
dengan cepat menyebar dari satu perangkat ke perangkat lainnya.
Akibatnya, banyak remaja yang mengakses p*rn*grafi dan bahkan
kecanduan terhadap akses konten-konten buruk tersebut.
Berbagai macam kasus pelecehan s*ksual, pem*rkosaan, dan s*ks
bebas yang ada di kalangan remaja saat ini, banyak yang disebabkan
karena para remaja, sangat mudah untuk mengakses p*rn*grafi
menggunakan internet.

Kedua, kecanduan terhadap internet, dan game membuat para remaja

lupa bahwa mereka adalah makhluk sosial yang harus berinteraksi
dengan orang lain. Saya menjumpai banyak kasus dimana orang-orang
bertemu di sebuah tempat, namun mereka tidak mengobrol; mereka
hanya “mengobrol” dengan teman-teman mereka yang jaraknya begitu
jauh. Mereka lebih suka berinteraksi secara online menggunakan
Facebook, Twitter, Path, Instagram, dan media sosial lainnya, daripada
berinteraksi secara real dengan berbicara langsung kepada orang yang
ada di dekat mereka.

Ini adalah hal yang bertentangan dengan ideologi bangsa Indonesia,

dimana kita harus mewujudkan masyarakat yang toleran dan peduli
satu sama lain. Ketika keadaan ini terus berlanjut, kita akan kehilangan
identitas kita. Remaja Indonesia akan tumbuh menjadi orang yang tidak
peduli satu sama lain, tidak suka bersosialisasi, dan bahkan tidak
mengenal orang-orang yang ada di sekitarnya.

Tetapi, meskipun teknologi mempunyai dampak buruk, dibalik

kecanggihan yang dikembangkan oleh manusia ini, tentu saja
mempunyai banyak dampak baik. Pertama, teknologi adalah perangkat
yang mampu meningkatkan kecepatan dan efektivitas arus informasi.
Kita bukan lagi menjadi manusia konvensional yang harus mengirim
surat apabila ingin berkomunikasi jarak jauh dan kita bukan lagi
manusia yang harus menunggu berhari-hari untuk mendapatkan balasan
pesan dari teman. Saat ini, semuanya menjadi mudah berkat adanya
teknologi. Kita mampu mengirim pesan menggunakan e-mail dan SMS
dalam waktu beberapa detik. Kita mampu mengobrol dengan teman
yang sudah lama tidak kita temui dan tinggal di rumah yang jauh dari
tempat kita tinggal. Kita mampu mengobrol dengan mereka
menggunakan BBM, Facebook, Whats Up Messenger, Line Messenger,
dan masih banyak lagi.

Kedua, teknologi adalah media promosi bisnis yang sangat baik. Kita
tentu mengenal internet, sebuah media informasi yang dapat diakses
oleh jutaan orang dari seluruh dunia, kapanpun, dan dimanapun mereka
mau. Ketika internet digunakan untuk mempromosikan produk maka
ada banyak konsumen yang datang kemudian membeli produk tersebut.
Strategi pemasaran menggunakan internet, juga dimanfaatkan oleh
para remaja. Saya menjumpai banyak siswa SMA atau Universitas yang
secara konsisten berdagang dengan memanfaatkan Media Sosial
seperti Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, atau BBM. Ini merupakan dampak
kemajuan teknologi yang sangat positif dan harus didukung oleh setiap
orang. Menggunakan internet, seorang remaja tidak perlu mempunyai
modal yang besar untuk berdagang. Mereka tidak harus menyiapkan
uang puluhan juta untuk menyewa sebuah tempat sebagai toko. Mereka
hanya perlu memanfaatkan ponsel mereka untuk berjualan dan
mendapatkan uang.

Teknologi, kita mengenalnya mempunyai dampak buruk dan baik bagi

remaja. Agar remaja mengerti bagaimana cara memanfaatkan teknologi
dengan baik, sebagai orang tua kita harus terus memandu mereka.
