DESIGN PROCEDURE

4.1 INTRODUCTION
To evaluate the project theoretically, MATLAB SIMULATION has been
performed. The design procedure and evaluation results of this project is presented
in this chapter.
4.2 SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
• MATLAB Rb2010

The proposed system is evaluated as a Simulink model using MATLAB

Simulink software. The results of the model is presented as annalistic graph.
The Simulink model consist of blocks with prefixed values. The entire project
theoretical evaluation is done in this stage.
• ORCAD PSPICE

The hardware layout of proposed model is tested using ORCAD software.

This part includes PIC controller and closed loop control program evaluation.
• MPLAB_IDE_v8.60

The embedded c code of this project is evaluated by using MPLAB-IDE

software. In this software we generate HEX CODE for PIC controller.
• PROTEUS Professional v7.6 SPE

This software is similar to that of ORCAD software, here we analyse the

performance of hardware components of the given embedded c code

BLOCK DIAGRAM:

Block Diagram explanation:

Input supply: Solar Energy
Filter: It is used to remove unwanted or undesired frequencies from a signal.
GRID: An electric grid in a network of synchronized power providers and
consumers that are connected by transmission and distribution lines is operated by
one or more control centers. When most people talk about the power "grid" they're
referring to the transmission system for electricity.
Inverter: operates from a dc voltage source or a dc current source and converts it
into ac voltage or current.
PWM generator: It is used to generate PWM pulses to make a switching signal.
Converter: convert the voltage of an electric device which is usually alternating
current (AC) to direct current (DC).
