INTRODUCTION

The proposed three-storey private school building constitutes two (2) years of Senior Secondary

Education. Having a total of eight classrooms and other basic facilities for a school building The first floor

consists of canteen, office, activity center, supply office, registrar and restrooms. And the second and third

floor level are comprised of lecture rooms, faculty room and restrooms. The proposed site can be located in

Malabañas Road, Angeles, Pampanga.

Quality education is one of the primary needs of a nation It is a right of every individual to obtain a

quality education wherein everyone can enhance their knowledge, skills, and capabilities in able to mold

themselves as a better individual and a valuable citizen that can serve the country.

Quality education not only comes from the notes and lectures, but also from the environment

where students are in. They deserve to be educated in a positive environment where they will feel safe,

comfortable, motivated and fully engaged in learning new things.

The proposed structure aims for best, safe and was designed in accordance of standard

requirements. In this project, the designs, measurements, computations and how the structure was

formulate was indicated.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

The project aims to practice and apply the knowledge that the students had acquired in designing a

three-storey building. The design and parameters were based in the National Structural Code of the

Philippines (NSCP 2015) and National Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP) to obtain ideal designs in

designing a school building. The scope of this project is for the students to be aware of different problems

that occur in designing the structural of a building. Students will be able to familiarize themselves with
materials and dimensions in accordance to standard requirements. The project also aims to prepare the

students in the professional field, and enhance their skills and fill them with proper knowledge that can help

them in the future.

Description of the Project

The proposed design project is a three-storey school building. The ground floor area, second floor

area, third floor area, and roof deck area are all 325 square meters. The structure is composed of 8

classrooms, principal's office, registrar and cashier's office, activity center, restrooms and faculty rooms for

the instructors. The students aim to design a school building with an objective to provide a learning place

for the increasing number of enrollees, especially that K-12 program was implemented, and the present

number of school building structures cannot accommodate all of them.

The proposed school building will be able to operate and serve secondary education to aspiring

students within the nearby area.

Classification of the Project

The project is a three-storey school building and is a regular structure wherein the first floor is used

primarily for the conduct of school business relating to administration, clerical services, consulting,

assembly and catering services. The second floor and third floor levels are occupied with classrooms and

faculty rooms.

A school is an institution for education. The group is proposing a structural design of a school

building in Angles, Pampanga. The building consists of 8 full-size classrooms and other basic facilities for a

school building.
