Dear Whom it May Concern,

I am interested in applying for an Special/Elementary Education teaching position at your

school. As a 2020 graduate of Kutztown University, with a duel-major in Elementary Education
and Special Education, I have various levels of student teaching experience. I have experience
teaching in kindergarten, first-, fourth-, and sixth-grade level classrooms, in both urban and
suburban school districts. I believe my diverse teaching experience, strong classroom
management, and desire to make an impactful difference for students make me an ideal
candidate for a teaching opportunity at your school.

I have diverse experience teaching elementary-level students in a variety of settings. I

have taught kindergarten-,first- and sixth-grade children in learning support classrooms in both
urban, and suburban style school districts. As a volunteer camp counselor, and Teaching
Assistant in General Education and Life Skills classrooms, I have learned various methods and
philosophies to be an effective teacher to students of all personalities and learning abilities.
Your school has a strong emphasis on student diversity and individuality, so I think my varied
expertise would make me an asset to your program.

Your school also strives to engage students and make a difference in their lives
personally and academically. Through overcoming a personal learning disability I understand
the importance teachers have in student’s lives. I also have lots of experience incorporating
more interactive tools in my classrooms to foster stronger learning. For example, as a student
teacher, I connected an application called pear deck, with my lesson, to keep the students
attention.

It is my goal to combine my vast experience with my ability to be a compassionate,

understanding, and intelligent teacher to make a beneficial influence and contribution to your
school district and community. I would welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your
earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Ashley Silecchia
