Teaching Resume
Teaching Resume
I have worked for the Portsmouth YMCA for four years now. I started as a preschool teacher
assistant and before and after school camp counselor. While I was an assistant and counselor, I
monitored students from three years old to middle school age. I assisted in lesson planning for
the two preschool classes, I assisted in morning and afternoon routines, and I also contributed to
the instruction. As a camp counselor, I watched over about ten students at a time. During this
time, I distributed snack, monitored homework/tutoring sessions, and I enjoyed activities and
games with the children.
In Spring of 2019, I was given my own three-year-old preschool class. Since then I have solo
instructed, lesson planned on my own, and managed the classroom with over fifteen
preschoolers. Since I have had my own classroom, I have had a lot more responsibilities that
have grown my teaching strategies and strengthened my want to be an elementary teacher.
