Unemployment Problem in Jakarta

Good morning miss cicil and all my friend . How are you guys this
morning ? I hope we are in a good condition in this morning .

First of all , I would like to thank to God for he has bestowed us abundant
mercies . Because of his blessed we could attend this speech activity in
this beautiful morning .

First of all , I would like to thank to God for his blessed we could gather
in this activity , in such a marvelous day with great audiance then let’s
send our peace and salutation to our almighty God .

I also would like to thank to the Miss cicil who has provided me time to
stand here in front of you for conveying my speech .

But before we talk about the speech , I would like to introduce my self .
Well , my name is Margareth laurent . You can call me laurent . I’m the
second grade of SMA Budi Mulia Mangga Besar .

Well , here we go ladies and gentleman . Today , I would like to deliver

my speech about Unemployment entitled “ Unemployment problem in
Jakarta ”.

So before we go to the topic about unemployment problem in jakarta we

must know the meaning of unemployment . What is unemployment ?
Unemployment is someone that doesn’t have a job or someone who is
looking for a job . why someone doesn’t have a job ? Someone doesn’t
have a job because he is unable to compete with others , a jobs available
more less than of the job seekers , technological advances that cause the
work that is supposed to be done by humans but ultimately is done by
machines the example like e-toll before there is an e-toll card there is still
a toll booth guard who works but after there is a card , the counter
window guard is no longer needed . In addition to the above causes
person also doesn’t have a job because low education so that he can not
be self -employed which can produce jobs that make unemployment
reduced . Termination of employment can be one of the reasons someone
doesn’t have a job because after being fired from the company , this
person will be confused where look for work .
Unemployment causes various adverse effects namely increased crime
because everyone has needs that must be met while income doesn’t exist
then someone will do everything to meet their needs namely by stealing ,
robbing and others . Unemployment makes person lose skills because
they haven’t used their existing skills for a long time . Besides
unemployment also makes someone depressed because they feel useless
or become a human who failed because they don’t have a job and can
lead to suicide . Unemployment also makes national income in the tax
sector decrease because it has no income so it does not pay income tax .
Unemployment also makes the social costs that must he incurred by the
government .

The number of unemployed in 2019 decreased by fifty thousand people

from 6,87 million people to 6,82 million people . The unemployment rate
is less than in 2018 .

Reducing unemployment can be done by providing skills training outside

of expertise that is not owned their own business , establishing their own
business or entrepreneurship to absorb labor so that unemployment can be
reduced , developing vocational training centers and also increasing
formal education
