Analysis – The Name of one Component or a collection of Components. This can be found on the
sample analysis display. (See Appendix 1)
Component – The individual tests listed under the Analysis heading. This can be found on and
the sample analysis display.
o Some analyses (examples include: Metals or IR) may have multiple components. Some
analyses (examples include V100, V40, W) may have single components.
NAR Max Limit – Allows a user to set up a No Action Required (Green) upper limit (all values
below this level will not be flagged).
MR Max Limit – Allows a user to set up a Monitor (Yellow) upper limit. This will also establish the

present. This business rule will flag results for the Metals analysis if they exceed the NAR or the MC
values.
V100 Business Rules – These rules have been implemented to assist interpreters in evaluation of
viscosity results. These rules have a 2 step process.
Step 1 - Check the sample result against the Viscosity Table shown below. If the result
matches one of the Compartment Type and Fluid Weight combinations and is below the
minimum OR above the maximum, it should be coded yellow.
Step 2 - When comparing V100 on current sample to V100 on previous sample (Only most
recent sample) : No action required =< +/- 2 cSt / Monitor Compartment > +/- 2
cSt / Action required >= +/- 3 cSt
