Thank you for the opportunity to assess your company and recommend data driven decision
making strategies. The analysis and recommendations below are based on my review of your
company. The analysis below is based on information provided by your staff. Therefore,
our recommendations should be tempered by your knowledge of business realities and your
market. Please let us know if we can answer any questions concerning these
recommendations.
RECOMMENDATION 1 ON KEY STAKEHOLDERS: Company Stakeholder Review
My recommendation is that boundaries are set and only the CEO Mr. Lopez, take charge
of his Company. We need to make sure that he understands that he is still the owner and should
not let himself be overshadowed. We need to make sure that RGV Inc. outsources a freelance
accountant that can assist with expenses and that we keep track of all the moneys being spent in
the name if RGV Inc. Mr. Lopez is the sole proprietor if this company should be single entity to
have access to funds out of budget if any at all. Why, for the simple reason that a strict budget
needs to be followed to the T’. and any funds that are spend in the name of RGV Inc. are tracked
with receipts. We are trying to increase profits in the company and children of Mr. Lopez should
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
How did we get here? Key Performance Questions and Key Performance Indicator.
Analysis Recommendation
We need to discuss a few issues, such as What is Sales Growth Margin, and sales per
Square Foot? We need to discuss, why are Profit Margins Declining? What can we do to increase
Profit margins? How can we reduce cost? What countries are we selling most and least to? What
is the highest and lowest selling Product? What is being thrown away Spoilage? Some of these
questions we may not have all the answer to, but we need to acknowledge the fact that it is
On this section we will discuss the first quarter of 2019 and the losses that occurred in
shipping 30 Chachalaca to Okinawa Japan and losing 1500 of poultry in the process. We need to
discuss how buying insurance for a package of such expensive nature could have saved outright
losing so much in one transaction. Not having Insurance in general is a missed opportunity. It
needs to be purchased for items in the store as well, perishables Milk, Eggs, Fish which only has
a one-day shelf life if it is not flash frozen. We also need to cap commissions for salespeople
selling these specialty items, at 50 dollars a bird this person is making 10% commission. That’s a
150-dollar sale for something that was not delivered in a timely fashion. RGV Inc. cannot afford
the luxury of 10% commission. We need to Focus on a Key Performance Indicator for sales
growth Margin because RGV Inc. was a profitable store catering to high class clients across the
world.
Accounting.
web-based site that is easily accessible if incase there was to be a catastrophic failure in the store.
This will also need to be processed with MS Excel Spreadsheets which will be updated every day
at closing time once the “Box” Closes out. This will be don’t for an extended period of time of
one quarter of the year in order to compare positive changes. RGV Inc needs to have a private
accountant that deals with the flow of cash and helps create a budget for purchases. It has come
to my attention that various items of high dollar amounts have been recently acquired under the
IS COMPLETE.
Finally.
Mr. Lopez will need to have a pre shift meeting and on a weekly basis every Friday. He
will need to h have a Chart in office, like a bulletin board where new numbers will be pinned and
compared to the past quarter corresponding day. Something along the lines to a line graph. Every
employee that is available to attend weekly meetings needs to. If in case someone misses the
meeting the board will have been updated already. This will work on the concept of Mapping
and reflection and bench marking where weekly status will be motivational in moving forward
From completing this project, I have learned that even though I may not be in a position
where I have been managerial status. In the many jobs that I have been employed with, these are
many of the same steps implemented to motivate and help keep and run a profitable business. In
this project, I have used techniques that we implemented when I worked as a car salesman. As
well as techniques I have considered in my own hobby when I use shipping by mail, a custom
item needs to be insured for replacement purposes. Not always take a loss worth hundreds of
dollars for failing to purchase a simple 5-dollar insurance option. In this project I have also
Learned that following a diagram is more convenient that just guessing or not taking notes on a
certain sale on a project and ultimately having it redone and spending twice the amount of time.
I have also learned that time is unforgiving and not to overthink things, use all the
resources necessary and apply them. I have learned that repetition makes a hard task common,
not easier but one gets used to the grind an everyday thing . If you don’t begin you will not
finish, if you don’t know where you are going you will not know when you get there.
