Used to

Ex: ‘I shall deal in more detail with the nature of the offer below.’
 Expressing a strong assertion or intention.
Ex: you shall not frighten me out of this
 Expressing an instruction, command, or obligation
Ex: every employer shall take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of employees
 Used in questions indicating offers or suggestions.
Ex: shall I send you the book?

Used to

 Used to indicate obligation, duty, or correctness, typically when criticizing someone's


actions.
Ex: I think we should trust our people more
 Used to indicate what is probable.
Ex: the bus should arrive in a few minutes
 (expressing the conditional mood) referring to a possible event or situation
