QUICKREFMENU
A compre hensive menu t hat can be
called up wh ile in edit mode with a
click on an object outl et. The menu
is subdivided into th ree categories
of elements: Actions, Messages,
and Attr ibutes. Actions call up refer-
ence pages, help patches, and ot her
descript ive resources for t he object.
Messages correspond to the types of
data t hat the object " understands";
by selecting a message, it is possible
to auto mat ically create and con-
nect new objects related to the data
type of th e selected outl et. Finally,
Attr ibutes are present on ly in some
objects, and correspond to the prop-
erties that can be set in the object's
inspecto r.

SEGMENTEDPATCHCORDS
An option for t he Max/MSP environ-
ment that can be set via the Options
menu, whic h allows you to lay out
patch cords that have multip le seg-
ments. At each click, a new segment
is created.

SIGNAL(MSP)
A constant-rate flow of samples
t hat represent sound in the digital
