I met Alyssa Benefield five years ago while she was an honors student at Tucson High School.
We trained together at Crossfit Tucson/ and Alyssa also worked at the coffee shop adjacent to
the gym. Alyssa is committed to excellence, energetic/ and focused—qualities that would make
her an invaluable asset to your nursing team.

Alyssa Benefield was a high performing student at Tucson High who had also dedicated herself
to pursuits in health and fitness. Alyssa worked tirelessly to consistently produce excellent work
and maintain high academic standards. She also was an avid Crossfitter who pursued her
training with commitment and focus. Crossfitters have a reputation for being intense, but
Alyssa always knew how to bring levity and camaraderie to a grueling workout. Alyssa is a fun
and friendly person; she positively motivated her teammates during gym competitions and
knew how to relate to the diverse population of people who trained at Crossfit Tucson. When
Alyssa shared that she dreamed of a profession in the medical field, anyone could see that the
medical profession would be enriched by Alyssa's commitment to academic excellence as well
as her ability to relate to and motivate others.

As Alyssa's myriad achievements show, she has maintained the same focus and energy as a
student in the Nursing Program at the University of Arizona. Alyssa Juggled a demanding
academic schedule with serving her community by teaching children at the Pharmacology Camp
and working as a fitness trainer at Crossfit Tucson. Alyssa balanced these duties while earning
several academic awards/ including the Arizona Excellence Scholarship Award, Silver and Sage
Award, and Lee Lorraine Award. Her professional and community activities also demonstrate
Alyssa's commitment to serving a diverse community of patients.

Alyssa is a disciplined young woman with record of excellence. Her energy, collegiality/ and
work ethic will be an asset to your program. I highly recommend her without reservation.
