DESCRIPTION OF QUALITY

We purchase the scrap grades turnings, sheets, shear scrap, demolition scrap, shredded
scrap and bushellings. The different scrap grades and the respective BSW quality require-
ments are listed below.

Remarks valid for all scrap grades


· Free from any contamination
· Free from any hollow and explosive bodies and closed containers
· Free from radioactivity

Demolition scrap
Demolition and structural scrap with a thickness of ≥ 6 mm, dimensions max. 1,50 x 0,50 m,
suitable for magnet unloading
· Free from automotive scrap

Sheets (Grade 50)


New loose black sheet metal scrap, suitable for magnet unloading
· Free from dynamo-transformer sheets
· Free from tin plates and waste coming from gasometer industry (due to the Pb-content)
· Free from any other material with hazardous coating
· Free from endless metal strips which cannot be charged

Bushellings (Grade E6)


Light steel scrap, thin sheet bushelling, zinc coated
thickness < 3 mm, dimensions 40 x 40 x 40 cm

· Free from waste incineration scrap
· Free from waste separation scrap

Grade 31
Steel scrap with the following dimensions:
max. 1,50 x 0,50 x 0,50 m, thickness ≥ 4 mm, suitable for scrap unloading
· Shear scrap with a thickness ≥ 4 mm
· Free from automotive scrap

Demolition and structural scrap:


max. 1,50 x 0,50 x 0,50 m, thickness ≥ 6 mm, suitable for magnet unloading
· Free from any hazardous coatings and adhering matters

Turnings
Short or broken iron and steel turnings, suitable for handling with shovels
Long and mixed iron and steel turnings, respectively

· Free from cast and free-cutting turnings


· Free from weathered, lumpy and dilapidated turnings
· Free from fines
· Without sinter additions
