The Tower of London

The Tower of London has been a prominent part of the England skyline since its creation in 1078. The Tower
has served various purposes such as an becoming an armory, a treasury, a zoo, a prison, the home of the Royal
Mint, a public record office, and the home of the Crown Jewels of England. As its duties began to grow and
change so did the tower itself. Under the instruction of several different rulers throughout England’s history
many new additions were added to the original tower, and by the 15th century the tower had grow into a large
castle.

Fun Fact: In 58 years The Tower of London Will Be 1000 years old.

The picture below shows the White Tower which was the first part of The Tower of London’s construction,
and to this day it is the center of this historic landmark, and is considered the heart of the Tower of London
