Concept Development
This project was a mock design for a website
that grouped and assessed the use of the key
words used in media and government docu-
ments at the city level of Vienna and the prac�-
cal implementa�on of their policies. The objec-
�ve was to compare the key words e.g.
#SMARTCITIES #REGENERATION #SUSTAIN-
ABILITY #CREATIVECITY #PARTICIPATION with
the outcome and implementa�on of the poli-
cies that related to those specific fields. For ex-
ample # SUSTAINABILITY was compared with
the CO2 emissions of private transport to com-
pare the use of the word with the changes in
the environment. Below are some more exam-
ples. The design was based on gathering data
on buzzwords by the designer from media and
government policies. The #REALITYCHECK data
was taken from the Open city Vienna data
source.
