 Cement and aggregates

4. Scope of Work

4.1 Installation of Foundation Grounding:

 1 set of foundation grounding for every steel structure.

 1 set of bonding jumper to adjacent steel structure.

a. Attend "pre-start" conducted by project proponent and secure General

Work Permit and Excavation permit.
b. Preparation of tools and materials needed for the job at Plant 5
conveying system.
c. Provide solid barricade around the structure post. Precautionary
measures required during execution of work due to presence of loading
trucks.
d. Conduct chipping of concrete post 200mm (center) above the ground
level. Required length and depth shall reach up to the minimum of 3
main members of rebar.
e. Fabricate "L" steel bracket based on the chipped off concrete made of
black iron steel with 5mm thickness. The length of the shorter leg shall
have 50mm measurement outside the concrete surface. Conduct hot
dipped galvanization of support.
f. Weld "L" bracket into the 3 main members of rebar. Plaster re-filled the
remaining opening after installation of connector bracket using grout.
g. Install unit strut support 200mm atop of steel structure base. Install
25mm diameter IMC conduit into the conduit support. The length of
conduit shall be installed nearest to cable ends.
h. Prepare 95mm2 bare copper wire for the connection of steel bracket
and steel structure. The total length of bare copper is the summation of
the length from the steel bracket to the top of concrete post and
500mm leading to the steel structure. Provide compression lug on the 1
end of bare copper and connect to the steel bracket using 16mm
diameter x 32mm bolt complete with tooth washer and nut.
i. Connect the remaining end into the steel structure 500mm away from
the concrete post using exothermic welding materials.
j. Conduct bonding of adjacent steel structures.
k. Conduct housekeeping

4.2 Installation of Potential Equalization Box

a. Install Potential Equalization Box (PEB) below Plant 5 Electrical room

(location to be determined). This is to be installed with 12mm diameter
expansion bolts. Installation of PEB shall be leveled using spirit level.
b. Conduct concrete cutting and chipping of 400mm x 400mm for the 1st
grounding pit (location to be determined).
c. Excavate hand hole and install 1 grounding rod. Conduct measurement
of grounding resistance using ground tester. If the resistance is above
2 ohms, install another rod/rods and conduct measurement.
d. Conduct concrete cutting and chipping of hand hole inter connections.
If the interconnections pass through road underpass, conduit shall be
installed 800mm below the road under pass.
e. Provide concrete 300mm x 300mm x 300mm hand hole for grounding
rods. Covers shall be fabricated with checkered steel plate and hot
dipped galvanized.
f. Route 95mm2 diameter grounding cables along 25mm diameter PVC
connected to hand holes.
