Q1. A, a Sunni Mahomedan, has three sons B, C and D. B dies in the lifetime of A leaving
behind son E and C dies leaving behind a son F. A then dies leaving behind E, F and D. A’s
entire property is to be devolved amongst the heirs. What will be E’s share?
Q2. a.) A, a Shia Mahomedan, leaves two grandsons X and Y from his predeceased son Z, and
one grandson F from his another predeceased son D. Divide A’s property amongst the heirs as
per the Per Stripes/ Per Capita Rule.
b.) Given the same situation, divide the property amongst the heirs considering A to be a Sunni
Mahomedan.
Q3. A, a Sunni Mahomedan, dies, leaving behind a father (F), a widow (W), two daughters (D1
and D2) and Mother’s Father (GF). Divide A’s property amongst the sharers as per the rules of
Hanafi Succession.
Q4. A, a Sunni Mahomedan, dies, leaving behind a mother (M), 2 full sisters (S1 and S2), a
consanguine sister (CS) and a uterine brother (UB). Divide A’s property amongst the sharers as
per the rules of Hanafi Succession.
Q5. A, a Sunni Mahomedan, dies, leaving behind a father’s mother (GM), a mother’s mother
(GM1), a mother’s father mother (GGM) and father’s father (GF). Divide A’s property amongst
the sharers as per the rules of Hanafi Succession.
