Aims:
· to arouse the pupils’ interest in the subject of the lesson
· to help students improve their speaking, reading, grammar and vocabulary skills
· to solve reading
· to solve grammar and vocabulary exercises
· to make students confident in themselves when speaking a foreign language
· to develop the students’ ability to use the English language in real life situations

Objectives. By the end of the class:


· students will be able to recognize Hobbies in real life situations
· students will be able to correctly use Hobbies in simple sentences

Skills: Listening; Speaking; Vocabulary


Aids: the whiteboard; the English book; Students’ notebooks, the Workbook, worksheets
Assessement: Teacher-assessement

Activity 1: Greetings and the checking of the homework


Aim: to warm up the conversation in the class and to make Ss comfortably interact to
each other
Procedure: The Teacher greets the SS, then she writes down if someone is missing the
class. Then the SS and the Teacher are checking together the homework.
The SS had to write down a word in a text related to school items.
Interaction: SS-Teacher, Teacher-SS
Time: 5 minutes

Activity 2: Revising previous notions


Aim: to help students improve their speaking, reading, grammar and vocabulary skills
Procedure: The children and the Teacher are going to revise previous activities learned.
Interaction: SS-Teacher, Teacher-Students
Time: 5 minutes
Activity 3: Listen and repeat- Introducing new vocabulary
Aim: to develop the students’ ability to use the English language in real life situations
Procedure: The SS are going to listen and repeat the new activities related to Hobbies.
Interraction: SS-SS; SS-Teacher
Time: 5 minutes

Activity 4: Guess
Aim: to develop students’ vocabulary
Procedure : The SS have to come to the white board and to arrange some activities in the
categories: OUTDOOR/ INDOOR/ BOTH
Interaction: Teacher-Ss, Ss-TEacher
Time: 10 minutes

Activity 5: Song
Aim: to develop the students’ ability to use the English language in real life situations
Procedure: the SS are going to listen a song about hobbies. After that they have to say
what they like doing.
Interaction: Ss-Ss, Ss-Teacher
Time: 5 minutes

Activity 6: Draw
Aim: to develop the students’ ability to use the English language in real life situations
Procedure: The Ss have to draw and to write what they like doing.
Interaction: Teacher-SS, Ss-Teacher
Time: 7 minutes

Activity 7: Worksheet-Match/ Crossword


Aim: to solve vocabulary exercises
Procedure: The ss are given an worksheet where they have to match. If some SS finish
solving the task faster, they ha the activities with the pictures and some good SS
are going to fill in a crossword puzzle. For this task the SS work individualy.
Interaction: Ss-Ss, Ss-Teacher
Time: 10 minutes

Activity 8: Homework
Aim: to practice the new grammar and vocabulary
Procedure: The teacher informs the SS that they have to solve ex.11 from page 51; and
she gives instructions.

Time: 3 minutes
