VUCA- Volatile Uncertain Complex Ambiguous

In Business World, it reflects a fast-paced, increasingly unstable and rapidly changing world.

But now the world needs a Digital VUCA with Diversity.

Everything is Volatile. We know that what’s true today isn’t true tomorrow.

There is Uncertainty and because of which the historical forecast and past experience is not much
relevant as what future holds is completely uncertain.

The Complexity of the problem has also increased. The problem and their repercussions are more
multi-layered in present scenario

There is Ambiguity in what the future holds for us as the rules of the game are changing
continuously. The Umbrella Policy / One Size fits all / best practice will not suffice.

The Digital in VUCA means digitalization of different aspects of business.

Like Digitalization of hardware, target product and service customization and anything that can be
applied to almost every part of the company’s value chain that will allow us to see New , Better and
Different aspect. But there are also dark side to digital technologies, human beings are told the
competitive advantage of the future

Diversity – Bigger than race, ethnically diverse companies perform 33% better, companies can
mandate diversity but they have to cultivate inclusion

VUCA Communication Management Strategy – attention is the most important thing, as leaders we
should have excellent communication skills, we have to hit the bull’s eye, we need to focus on
attention economy

Critical success factors – Strong level of resilience – strong immunity of resilience, focus on positivity
and flexibility, Human centered organizations are game changers; other companies must follow their
approach, All organizations’ prime concern should be employees.

Cracking VUCA Code – Traits

Vision, optimum understanding, clarity, adaptability, emotional thermostat, future immersion,

intuitive, manage Bio-Empathy, incremental milestones, lifelong learner, time and place agnostic
learner, generosity, inclusivity, decision making, driver of change

Crisis period should not be wasted –

 We should stay ahead of the curve

 We should discover our blind spots
 We should build self-esteem to fuel motivation to take on challenges
 We should do things we have never done before
