The 4 C’s Incorporated
● Communication
○ All sections will have the SAME curriculum and assignments regardless of who the professor is. For example, if you are taking eng 236, you
will have the same exact homework and assignments as someone else who is taking it with different professors.
■ When students have questions, they can go on the New Beginnings website and ask a question about the assignment to our
automated system. This will allow them to get immediate responses.
● Collaboration
○ Students will be allowed to utilize our website to form study groups with one another. If a professor does not reply immediately, they can
always rely on one of their classmates to help.
● Critical Thinking
○ Students will be given real-life case studies about the college and come up with ways on how to improve the system through an analytical
perspective.
● Creativity
○ ALL professors will be required to take a training session on creating a safe space in the classroom so that they are not hindering students
from being creative and sharing ideas/beliefs.

● Courses will be divided into 3 categories
○ Life & Career Skills
○ Learning & Innovation Skills
○ Information, Media, & Technology Skills
● Classes will meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays ONLY. On Tuesdays and Thursdays:
○ Students will be given the opportunity to integrate their learning through real-world internship and employment
opportunities

○ Students will participate in several guest lectures by experts in each field over the course of the semester

● The schedule will be as Follows
○ Mondays: Life & Career Skills Category Classes
○ Wednesdays: Learning & Innovation Skills Category Classes
○ Fridays: Information, Media, & Technology Skills Category Classes
Assessments
● Project-based learning will be used to evaluate the skills being taught
○ Better to assess knowledge by getting hands on work
● Formative assessments will take place to analyze the efficiency and efficacy of each program
○ Based on knowledge of curriculum, what people liked and disliked, what could be improved
● Individual creativity based project that expands upon material learned in course, allows individuals to et
out and involved in the community and put their minds to use
