Less economically developed countries typically have a youth growing


population. The country that represents this pyramid has high birth rate which is
shown by the broad base on the pyramid; each consecutive age group moving up
the pyramid gets narrower due to the high death rates and short life expectancy.
This pyramid characterized by large families, may children and few old people.
Population growth is rapid. Civil war, diseases such as aids and poverty have
contributed to high death rates. The youth population has high dependency ratio.
