Title: Learning to Read and Write Letters of the Alphabet

6.2 Print upper-and lower-case letters.

Description: This app lesson will develop kindergarteners’ comprehension of letters


and how to print them.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to write uppercase and lowercase


letters of the alphabet.

SWBAT identify letters of the alphabet based on their name.

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will… use the Khan Academy Kids
app to trace their uppercase and lowercase letters. These activities are found underneath
Tracing in the ABC section of the library. Students should screenshot their screen when
they have completed all tracing activities.

Step 2 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will use the Kindergarten math and
reading app to listen to the names of the letters while also being exposed to a visual of
the letters. This will help them be able to identify the letters of thee alphabet. This
activity is called “Alphabet” under the Reading section in this app. Once completed,
students will screenshot their confirmation of completion.

Step 3 Creation-Based (Learning Artifact) or Skill-Based App (Screenshot of


Progress): Students will use the balloon game on the ABC Kids app to identify the letter
they hear. Once completed, students will screenshot their game summary.
