Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Ashley Silecchia, but your children will most likely be referring to me
as Miss S. I am your child’s student teacher, and am so excited to have every single
one of your children during my time here at JPL Intermediate school. I am looking
forward to getting to know each and every. A little bit about me is that I am a Kutztown
University senior, with majors in Special and Elementary Education. When I am not at
school, you can most likely find me working at a camp or daycare, spending time with
my family, or doing some sort of outdoor activity.
During my time at Kutztown I have had the opportunity to teach at Glenside
Elementary in a learning support classroom, and at Zephyr Elementary in a 4 th grade
classroom. Being in these classrooms has taught be a lot, and I am looking forward to
using my knowledge from my education at Kutztown University, and these experiences
to teach your children.
As a student teacher I will start out observing Mrs. Kohler, the class routine,
lessons, and the school’s curriculum. Working closely with Mrs. Kohler I will gradually
take over the responsibilities of the classroom teacher. I will be working with your
children from January 28th until March 13th. During this time in your child’s class I hope
to help them be excited about learning, the way my teachers did for me.
