Thank you for submitting to the SMS 40th Annual Conference in London. With a record-breaking 1,752 submissions, this was one of the
most competitive conference programs to date. More than 1,200 reviewers actively participated in the double-blind review process
despite the unexpected disruption caused by COVID-19. Our thanks to all these scholars for their help with this process!

Conference Registration: To Begin at a Later Date

We hope you will still participate in the discourse and take advantage of networking opportunities by attending the conference. We
would normally open conference registration at this time, however, given the uncertainty of the current environment and as SMS
continues to evaluate conference plans, we have decided to delay registration.

We continue planning to hold the SMS 40th Annual Conference in London on October 24-27, 2020, but we are also evaluating
contingency options that include virtual and hybrid formats. We do not have a single deadline by which plans will be announced, but
rather a series of points along the planning timeline to evaluate the situation, allowing us to be flexible and responsive to the changing
landscape for conferences in the time of COVID-19.

Reviewer Participation and Feedback

More than 1,200 scholars were involved in the double-blind review process and spent significant time helping us make these difficult
decisions. Reviewers were asked to undertake the extra effort and add review notes, and we are pleased to report that most proposals
