Universal Design for Learning (UDL

Students are going to be able to make their own video just like the one I made showing off their Multiplication
strengths. The students are able to have visuals and audio in this so it makes it more assessable to all students.
Closed captioning could even be added to make is better for students.

Lesson idea implementation:

Students will first be shown the IMovie that I made, and then I will tell them that they are going to as a group
make their own Imovie. This should only take one class period to complete. Students learning will be assessed
by watching all the videos, and then having a timed test on multiplication later on.
From the IMovies I will pick a few to present to the class to show the students how much their classmates
know. This project will also give me insight to how much more I need to spend on multiplication. Higher level
thinking will be down by having students recite their times tables to me. I will extend this lesson by letting an
IMovie be an option for future projects.

Importance of technology: This project is more about introducing the IMovie tool than anything. This
project could not be completed without technology, but students could use other video softwares.

Inspiration (optional):

Internet Safety and Student Privacy:

Students are able to get on anything on the internet sometimes and that is scary. I would have the mirroring
effect turned on to the school iPads so that I can see what they see while they are working on the project. I

would also have most things blocked on the iPads so students are staying focused.

Reflective Practice: This will make students have a better understanding of IMovie. I would extend this
lesson by having iMovie implemented into more school related activities. Later on students could start to
use more effects with this.
