Philosophy-
Building should respond to the complex demand of
rapid urbanization, climate and culture.

Famous Projects include, Asian games village,


Sheikh Serai, Parliament Library.

Hall of Nations was built in 1972.


HALL OF NATIONS

Location - New Delhi, India

The project came into existence due to a


competition to build a exhibition space to
accomodate large objects such as a plane,
satellite etc.

Raj Rewal won the competition and the result was


the complex. He was inspired from the traditional
jali work and incorporated it into the whole
structure.

The structure is made of space frame system
shaped as a Truncated/capped Pyramid.

The material used for the construction is cast


in-situ concrete.
The Hall of Nations consists of
units of a 4.9m x 4.9m base and
3.5m height which form the 73m
x 73m pyramid, truncated at the
height of 30m with a roof span of
39m x 39m.
