You are cordially invited to join us for the UMCSAWM Water Conference at the Civil Engineering Auditorium,
Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Organized by the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre
for the South Asia Water Management, University of Moratuwa, the event will focus on the water and water resources
management related topics and all presentations will be based on the Research projects and Project Based Learning
(PBL) assignments undertaken by the participants of the International Master’s Program on Water Resources
Engineering and Management, conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering in collaboration with UMCSAWM and
South Asia Foundation (SAF)-India. The topics covered will include a broad range of application trends in water
resources management, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and GIS application in irrigation practices,
flood management and water resources development and management, etc.
