Senior Analyst - Operational

Insights & Analytics

Requirements
● Build reporting and analytical infrastructure to power the Global Operations
Team
○ Build a gold-standard suite of reports and dashboards in Tableau that
will be used to inform every-day business decisions in Babylon’s key
regions of operation
○ Be an in-house expert on HIVE, Babylon’s databases and visualisation
tools: mentor junior analysts in their delivery of key reporting products
and tools and set the standards for best-in-class analytical products
● Help build and define the operations reporting and insights processes
○ Create the optimal reporting structure by working closely with business
leads and clinicians
○ Be the Operations Analytics POC for your key areas of ownership;
develop strong understanding of Babylon’s operations in these areas
and maintain solid stakeholder relationships in order to define
appropriate metrics and maintain key success indicators
○ Build clear and effective feedback loops to key areas of the business
(including product, engineering, commercial, marketing etc.) to
provide valuable operations insights
○ Communicate insights and metrics to senior stakeholders and business
partners on a regular basis
● Be the analytical powerhouse behind core operations projects (from
origination to implementation) and create the required models and analysis
to drive initiatives that are focused on:
○ Delivering excellent member experiences for patients, clinical
professionals and our partners in care
○ Optimising our processes, systems and operational costs / revenues
○ Informing key product changes
○ Expanding our available offerings and services
○ Supply and capacity modelling
○ Predictive modeling for growth & expansion planning, referral and
prescription services, contact rate, defect rate management and much
more
● Analyse and identify existing processes that need transforming or
improvement, and then implement your findings:
○ Analyse and identify the foundational processes that will enable us to
scale nationally and globally
○ Be the leading force behind the implementation of these findings and
push to continually optimise them for efficiency and experience
● Help build the foundational data infrastructure and analytics platform to
assist data-driven teams within operations and across the company
○ Help drive a culture of strong analytics and data-driven thinking across
the operations division
○ Implement structure, documentation and process in everything that
you do, to catalyse the development of our analytics community
○ Mentor and train junior analysts in best-in-class practices and technical
skills
○ Work with development engineers and the Business Intelligence Team
to help build a data platform that is optimised for its end users

Who fits the role?


● Technical requirements
○ Minimum 3-4 years of business experience using SQL
○ Minimum 3-4 years of experience using Tableau or other visualisation
software to build reporting dashboards and analyse data
○ Experience building models and dashboards to tight timelines and
embedding these in operations to inform real-time business decisions
○ Previous experience working on short turn-around, analytical problems
○ Strong statistical understanding
● 2:1 class or higher in numerical degree (Maths, Engineering, Science,
Computer Science, Finance or related subjects)
● You need to want to make change now – this is less about creating an
incredible strategy that will be implemented over the next 5 years, and more
about processes that can change the business in the next 6 months.
● Strong work ethic
● Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt
a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset.
● Previous experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a non-hierarchical manner
across multiple teams
