Experiment- 7

Target- Create a work sheet for keeping records of 5 subjects of 10 students

including the given fields.

STEPS
Step1: - Firstly merge the row1 from A-J (acc. to information).

Select two or more adjacent cells that you want to merge. On the Home tab, in the
Alignment group, click Merge and Center.

The cells will be merged in a row or column, and the cell contents will be centered in the
merged cell. To merge cells without centering, click the arrow next to Merge and Center, and
then click Merge Across or Merge Cells.

Step 2: - In 2nd row record information like: S.NO., NAME, MARKS, SUBJECT etc.

Step 3: - In next step, for recording results of students, we have to merge 5 coloumns (except
subject, marks, status as these information has to provide individually) & write s.no., roll no.,
name, subjects, marks of all students.

Step 4: - finding total we use formula=SUM(E3:E7) and we got our total amount.

Step 5: - For finding percentage we use formula =F3/500*100& we get % of each individual
student.

Step 6: - For status we use formula =IF(E3>=40,"PASS","FAIL") for individual subject.

Step 7: - For getting grade we use

=IF(G3>=90,"A",IF(G3>=80,"B",IF(G3>=70,"C",IF(G3>=60,"D",IF(G3>=50,"E","F")))))

Step 8: - For telling final result we use =IF(I3>=40,"PASS","FAIL")

Step 9: - Then click on the first cell under total heading. In the right hand side
bottom corner click on that and select the cell of all 10 students the total will
display for all. Then do this for all heading.

Step 10: - After making results select complete information & go to home & select all border.

10. We got result in border & now its ready to show their parents.
