    Sesión de clase: Were-Was

    Recordando: Existen solo 3 verbos To-be y pronombres.

    Usamos Were y Was para referirnos al pasado del verbo To-be es muy
    importante conocer el significado de estas palabras antes de analizar la
    estructura.

    Significado:

    Las palabras Was y Were pueden tener 4 significados

     Was: Estuvo / Estaba


     Were: Eran / Fueron

    Was

    I was happy. 

    He was happy.

    She was happy: Ella era / estaba feliz. 

    It was happy.

    Were

    You were happy.

    We were happy.

    They were happy.

    Negative Form
    Existen dos opciones para formar el negativo:
    1. Sin contracción (Was not /were not)
    2. Con contracción (Wasn’t / weren’t)

    I was not here.  I wasn’t here.


    He was not here. He wasn’t
    here.
    She was not here. She wasn’t
    here.
    It was not here. It wasn’t here.
    You were not here. You weren’t here.
    We were not here: no estabamos / estuvimos aquí We weren’t here
    They were not here.  They weren’t here.
