1. Who was Imhotep, and what did the pharaoh ask him to do?

Imhotep was the pharaoh Zoser’s vizier and a great architect. The pharaoh asked him to build a
tomb that woud last forever.

2. How did the temple of Khnemu compare to the pharaoh’s tomb?

Khnemu’s temple was a humble wooden hut, while Zoser’s tomb was an impressive stairway to
the sky.

3. Why do you think Jackie never told Mr. Ward that she wanted to jump?

Maybe she was shy or thought she wouldn’t be good enough.

4. What does Jackie mean by practices were pressure-free, but there were rules?
