The LONDON HERESY II - 30K Narrative Campaign

INTRODUCTION
WELCOME TO THE LONDON HERESY II - 30K Narrative Campaign
This document provides all the information you need to play in the 2020 London Heresy II and
should be printed and brought with you to the event if you intend to play. Contained herein are
details of Gaming Schedule, Army Composition, Missions and Scoring. If you have any questions
at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch via the Facebook page The Forgotten Legion

Please note that this is a draft document and does not yet contain all the finalized details on the
event. As we continue to receive feedback from the 2019 event, it will be periodically updated
and reference should always be made to the most recent edition.

A further point to note: Please add yourself to the Facebook Group Event. The Forgotten
Legion – The London Heresy II. As this is where all the updates will placed. Usually on an almost
daily basis, with grudges by players Smack talk & general 30k chat. Also remember this is in no
way a Tournament & players can play each round by grudging any army they wish. Ideas like; I
would love to play against Ruinstorm Daemons (said no one sane ever) or such like is all good.
In fact at the time of typing this 1 chap has got 4 out of his 5 games all grudged out

No 30k related enquiries regarding the event more generally can be sent to:

GENERAL INFO
WHAT IS IT
The London Heresy II is a 5 round, 30k Narrative event.

Following on from 2019 we had such an amazing time. I was still buzzing from the event (& think I still am) way
after the guns had fell silent & the Traitors had retreated with their tails between their legs.

A Loyalist victory though horrifically closely fought out. In the end the scores were as such; The Loyalists won 2
rounds to the Traitors winning 3. The Loyalists winning 31 games to the traitors 23 games & the loyalists getting
399 victory points to the traitors 347. So an extremely close run thing with the Alpha Legion & World Eaters
switching sides throughout the campaign. Great stuff by all involved

We decided to kind of start from the beginnings of the Horus Heresy where possible & do 5 of the Legendary
missions. These are;
 Counter Thrust – 3000 points
 Deliverance – 3000 points
 Deaths of Gods & Angels - 3000 points (Traitors have an extra 750 points)
 Cataclysm – 3000 points
 Vanguard Fury – 3000 points (The Loyalists have an extra 750 points)
 *Zone Mortalis- 1500 points (Combatants)

The Zone Mortalis mission will work where each round we will have 5 Zone Mortalis games going on (10 players)
The results of the game will also have affects on the next rounds games. IF 1 side is the clear winner. We are
representing ships & Orbital stations in Orbit above the various planets. Each side trying to wrest control of a vital
system to aid their forces fighting on the ground.
Such effects will be given out on the day but will be things like +1 reserve rolls, an orbital barrage etc etc
Gladiatorial Arena – 1000 points (Must include a Primarch) We will also have a little bit of fun after game 3 on
Saturday. Wherby we can finally settle who indeed is top dog. Depending on numbers will randomize each fight on
a knockout basis. Come on Vulkan!!

NEED TO KNOW
ARMY SELECTION
3750 point list (for 1 game only)
3000 point list
1500 point Zone Mortalis list (for 1 game only)
Loyalists only: You will need to make up & bring an Enduring Imperial Edifice. 10” by 6” are the rough dimensions
to adhere to
Traitors only: You will need to bring 3 Target Reciprocator Objectives mounted on 40mm bases by 40mm height
will be great if players can make these legion specific

CONVERSIONS, PROXIES and VINTAGE MINIATURES

All conversions should bear a logical resemblance to the original model and should be of comparable dimensions
to the latest Games Workshop model. Vintage Models are allowed, however, use the current model’s dimensions
and base size for game play decisions. The applies to base sizes more generally. Players should use base extenders
if they are using vintage miniatures they do not wish to rebase.

PAINTING REQUIREMENTS
All models should be painted and based to a tabletop standard. This typically means three colours applied in a
cohesive and coherent format. Models should have some sort of basing treatment. Please use common sense in
determining if a model is painted to tabletop standard. If you have to ask, then it probably isn’t. Unpainted models
will be removed from play. Please note that colour schemes must be consistent across Legions and relate to the
rules in use for the Legion

-2 copies of your army list. One for yourself and your opponents, that said we run a pre list submission event . With

Players are encouraged to solve rule queries between themselves. Check the Rulebooks & /or FAQ's 1 . Then if
that fails. Ask me, as I will be walking about anyway

TIME KEEPING
Everyone will have an equal amount of turns. Just keep an eye on the time, as we don’t want to run over too much

Official LANGUAGE
Please note that the official language of the event is English. This means that all attendees are expected to be
conversationally fluent in the English and play using English copies of their rules.
TERRAIN
Most terrain will be supplied by the LGT & last year we had really great scenery. (Look on the Forgotten Legion
Facebook page past events, as I took loads of pics) I shall also be bringing some scenery for Zone Mortalis. I know a
few other players are bringing some scenery up too. So just be careful not to wreck it & any breakages. Just let me
know
