The Student Rule Book will inform you about the various rules and regulations. It
will also familiarize you with the procedures that will be followed during your
stay with Resonance PCCP Division.

1. General Terms and Conditions :
1.1 Discretion:
The right of admission in the institute is under the discretionary power
of its Managing Director (MD). The MD of Resonance reserves the
right of admission to any student in the institute. He may even deny the
admission of a student without assigning any reason.
1.2 Non Liability:
The prospectus/application form (if not collected in person from
institute's Help Desk or downloaded from website) and all the
admission/academic correspondence that will be sent by post/courier
for which Resonance is not responsible for post/courier delays or loss
in transit.
1.3 Refund of Fee:
The fee refund applications (if request is made according to standard
procedure i.e. in writing along with required documents in original) are
entertained according to the rules and regulations established by the
institute and as specified/mentioned in the Student Rule Book. Once
the duration of refund as specified by the institute is over; all fee once
paid will not be refundable for any reason whatsoever. The refund
request made/sent through verbal/telephone/fax/email shall not be
entertained in any case.
1.4 Cancellation of admission:
Resonance reserves its right to cancel the admission of admitted
student under any of the following circumstances.

1.4.1 If the fee as prescribed is not deposited by the stipulated date.
1.4.2 If the student does not join the particular course by the
stipulated date. Even though the fee has been deposited and
he/she has not communicated the delay in writing to the
institute.
1.4.3 If the student has been found guilty of using unfair means to
qualify for admission.
1.4.4 If a student is found continuously/frequently absent in
regular classes/periodic tests without permission.
1.4.5 If a student is found committing indisciplinary act during the
progress of the course.
1.5 Right of alteration/modification:
Management of the institute reserves its right to alter or modify the
structure of any of the courses to attain the objective of excellence.
Resonance reserves right to modify, alter and/or include any other
terms and conditions that may be deemed fit in the interest of the
institution and the student.
1.6 Finality clause:
Any dispute arising in the admission process shall be subjected to
conciliation by the Managing Director of Resonance whose decision
shall be final and binding to all the students.
1.7 Jurisdiction :
Any dispute pertaining to Admission, Selection Process, Fee
Deposition, Fee Refund, Course Structure, Teaching Methodology,
Study Material, Teaching Faculty Discipline and Administrative issues
shall be subjected to the jurisdiction of Kota (Rajasthan) Court only.

1.9 Agreement Clause :
The above mentioned terms and conditions of Resonance will bind
all admitted students of Resonance Pre-foundation Career Care
Programmes for the Academic Session 2013-14.

1.8 Limitation Clause:


No dispute pertaining to Admission / Selection Process / Fee
Deposition / Fee Refund / Course Structure / Teaching Methodology /
Study Material and Teaching Faculty shall be raised after thirty days
from the date of commencement of the classes (Dates mentioned in
information leaflet) for a particular course.

• Fee is to be deposited in installments. The Students/Parents are


advised to deposit the fee as per the schedule to avoid the
inconvenience in any form during the session.
• The institute imposes late fee for delayed payment of fees.
• The total Course Fee includes Tuition Fee, Service Tax @ 12 % on
Tuition Fee and Education Cess @ 3 % on Service Tax.
• The Rate of Service Tax & Education Cess is subjected to revision by
the Govt. of India. Hence, the rate/amount of Service Tax &
Education Cess may increase or decrease in future and shall be
passed on to the students accordingly. The students shall be
informed at appropriate time about the same as and when the Govt.
of India announces the change.

2. Admission :
2.1 Non-transferability of Admission :
Admission to any course is non-transferable to any other candidate.

2.2 Proper filling of Application Form :


• The admission is deemed to be completed only if the application
form is completely filled up and required testimonials are attached.
• It is the sole responsibility of students/parents to give the correct
information to institute and keep updating the information provided
to the institute.

2.3 ID card:
• After admission an ID card will be issued to the students.
• The students are always required to carry the ID card.
• If the ID card is lost; the student should immediately inform the
office with an application for duplicate copy. The student needs to
deposit ` 100 towards processing charges for the duplicate ID card.

3. Fees :
3.1 Course Fee :
• The Fee Structure is for one year only i.e. Academic Session
2013-14. The details of Course Fee of various courses are given in
the leaflet provided by the centre.
• Institute may charge additional fee for the extra class / special test

• The cost of Registration shall be ` 200 in person and by post (Non
refundable) for each student in addition to the Course fee. This will
include the cost of Information Brochure, Registration form for
classroom coaching and Selection Test and other material available in
the Admission Packet.

3.2 Provision for Late Fee:


• If a student does not deposit the fee on or before the last date of fee
deposition then following provisions will be applied.
3.2.1 A penalty of ` 10/- per working day will be charged for the
next 4 weeks (maximum) from the last date of fee deposition.
3.2.2 A penalty of ` 20/- per working day will be charged for
another 4 weeks (8 weeks in cumulative as maximum delay) from the
last date of fee deposition.
If the II-installment is not paid by the stipulated time period, the
name of the student will be struck off the rolls.
No exception or reduction in penalty will be made on account of
any holiday or absence in any cause.

3.3 Provision for Scholarship:


Resonance conducts various Selection Tests before commencement
of regular classes. The students can appear in these tests and get the
benefit of scholarship. The scholarship would be given to the student
according to the performance of the student in Selection Test.
• All the Scholarships would be in the form of concession in Course Fee
• A student can avail only one type of Scholarship.

• The Scholarship would be provided for the Academic Year of
2013-14 only.
• The award of Scholarship is solely on the discretion of the institute.
• The institute can deny any Scholarship to any student without
assigning any reason.
• The Institute can revise/increase/decrease/stop the scholarship
depending upon the financial growth, success of the programme and
enrollment of students in its various courses.
• The student eligible for any Scholarship should not get himself
associated with any of the competing institute /individual for any
academic purpose. If found, the student shall be immediately stripped
off from the scholarship. In such a case the amount paid or deducted
from fee for him/her shall be recovered by the institute. In case of any
dispute the jurisdiction of Kota city (Rajasthan) shall be applicable.
• For the details of Scholarships provided for PCCP students please see
the policies attached in Annexure at page no.17.

3.4 Process for Fee Refund:


If a student wants to leave the institute and opts for fee refund
he/she should follow :
• Attach original receipt(s) of total course fee deposited and original
Identity Card. Submit the filled refund application form along with
attachments.
• Collect the Acknowledgement Receipt of Refund Application duly
signed & stamped by institute's authority and keep it for future
reference.

• Institute issues the fee refund in the form of account payee cheque
only in favour of the student’s parent.
• The fee refund cheque shall be sent by a registered post at his/her
permanent address or the address given by him/her in the refund
application form within four weeks from the refund application. It
will be sent only if the student is eligible for any refund as per the
above stated rules.
• The students/parents should understand that fee refund is a part of
institute's policy and we follow the refund rules & regulations as
mentioned in Refund Policy (attached in Annexure on page-14) in
letter & spirit. However, if the request of refund is submitted (in
written with required documents) after the 'refund dates' are over,
we will not entertain it. Refund requests made verbally/orally or
through telephone/e-mail/fax shall also not be entertained.
• Any legal matter/dispute related to fee refund is subjected to Kota
City jurisdiction only.
• Fees Refund on disciplinary Grounds: This is a very special
provision regarding fee refund. If a entire Batch/Class or majority of
its students is found to be involved in an incident of indiscipline at
any point of time during the Academic Session; the entire
Batch/Class or majority of students may be rusticated from the
institute. In such a case, the fee refund will be as per the Refund
Policy.

NOTE : Institute management and the Managing Director of Resonance


reserve the sole right to decide in the matter of fee refund.

4. Discipline:
4.1 Attendance and Leave System:
• Every Student is expected to maintain a record of at least 90%
attendance during the year.
• Attendance of the student is taken on a daily basis in the regular
classes and also in tests when scheduled.
• Students attending the classes in batches other than that allotted
to him will be treated as absent.
• If a student misses any class or leaves the institute before time
without permission he/she will invite serious action.
• A student’s name will be struck off the rolls if he absents himself
from the Institute continuously for 5 classes without taking any
prior permission. An amount of ` 100 as to paid for Re-admission.

4.2 Batch Formation & Reshuffling:


• Student's performance in Tests & Attendance in the classroom is
taken as criteria for batch reshuffling.

4.3 Withdrawl :
A student can be asked to leave the institute at the discretion of
head of programme on the ground of disciplinary and unsatisfactory
progress in tests.

4.4 Instructions for I-Card :
• Issued I-Card is valid only for Academic Session 2013-2014.
• The student must carry his/her I-Card in every class, test & to enter in
institute for any other purpose.
• If the I-Card is lost, a duplicate card can be issued by submitting an
application and cash payment of ` 100.
• If any student is found misbehaving or breaking the rules & regulations
of the institute or committing any mistake, the same moment his/her I-
Card will be punched and it can be reissued after getting valid
justification from the student’s parent.
4.5 Instructions for Mobile :
• All the students are advised not to carry mobile phones in the institute
or if they are carrying then they have to keep that switched off during
the classes.
• If any students is found using the mobile in the institute, his/her
I-card will be punched & a fine of ` 100 will be charged from student.
4.6 In Case of any Confusion or Query :
• In case of any communication (written/verbal) with the institute, you
must always quote the Student's Name, Roll No. and Batch, it helps in
effective communication.
• For any academic/administrative query in the office, firstly approach
the Help Desk of the institute and then only meet the concerned
Authority.
• If you are not satisfied with the response of any of the official or your
query goes unanswered, you can approach the Head of Programme's
office during office hours.

4.7 Location for Classes :
• The location for classes will be communicated to the student at the
time of enrollment. In case of any changes the same will be
communicated to the students/parents well in advance.
4.8 About Faculties :
• The institute bears no responsibility of any faculty member's
presence and continuance with Resonance in the academic session
2013-14.
• The number of faculty members may change (increase or decrease).
4.9 Study Material :
• The study material includes Daily Practice Problems (DPPs) and
Modules.
• DPPs are given to be solved at home on regular basis according to
the syllabus taught in the previous class.
• The Study Material is distributed only once for a particular type in
the Class Room. A student is advised to collect it according to the
arrangements made by the institute.
• If a student fails to collect the study material on the day of
distribution, then he/she can collect the material distributed from
the Study Material Stores on the particular day assigned by the
store.
• We do not keep the buffer stock of study material as plenty of it is
distributed on daily basis. It is the responsibility of the student to
collect the same during distribution.
• The institute does not take the responsibility of non-availability or
loss of study material due to late admission, absence in the classes,
illness, accident or any other reason whatsoever.

• It is against the discipline to collect the study material twice in a
particular case i.e. unauthorized copying & selling in the market to
the students of other institutes.
• Students who remain absent in tests without permission will have
to pay the charges for obtaining the test papers from stores as
decided by the institute.
4.10 Performance Evaluation (Periodic Tests) :
• To evaluate Student’s Academic Performance, the institute
conducts various periodic tests at specified interval.
• The tests may be Objective, Subjective or Both.
• The SAPER (Student's Academic Performance & Evaluation Report)
Sheet showing student's performance in periodic tests & surprise
test are also sent to the parents on a periodic basis at their
permanent address. SAPER sheets can also be viewed from
student’s corner of www.pccp.resonance.ac.in
• Performance will be intimated to parents through SMS on regular
basis. It will also be available online.
4.11 Parent Teacher Meeting :
Parents are required to attend Parent-Teacher Meeting conducted at
the institute to discuss their ward’s progress. Due notice is sent to
the parents about these meetings and they are expected to attend
them and meet all the concerned teachers teaching their ward.
If any parent wishes to meet teachers on any other day, he/she can
come to the institute between 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (depending
upon the availability of the concerned teachers or a prior
appointment can be taken) on any working day.

5. Annexure-Policies :
In case, once admitted and then a student wants to discontinue any of
the courses due to any reason, the refund will be made as per below
mentioned rules and regulations-
• The refund will be subjected to number of weeks from the
commencement of the course.
• The refund would be done according to the following table.

5.1 Refund Policy for Classroom Courses-:


5-week

Note : The application for refund of fee after the due date of
II-installment would be entertained only if II-installment is paid
before the last date of deposition of II-installment & will be
calculated on second installment.
• The date of commencement of classes will be considered as
mentioned in the leaflet and not from the date on which the student
joins the institute/attends the classes or deposits the fee even if
he/she is a latecomer to the institute.
• For more details kindly consider point no. 3.4 on page no. 8.

5.2 Policy for transfer from one location to another :
• In order to get transferred from one location to another the student
has to apply with an application in writing.
• The student has to deposit the sum of ` 500 towards the process
charges.
• However the institute will not be responsible regarding any change in
study pattern/method at the new centre where the student has
transferred.
• If the student opts for transfer to a centre where the same programme
is offered at a higher fee than the student will have to pay the
difference in fee existed between two centres. However in case of
student opts for transfer to a centre where the same programme is
offered at a lower fee than the institute will not refund any amount to
student.

• Documents to be attached :
(i) An application signed him/her and his/her parents.
(ii) Photocopy of receipt of total fee deposited.
(iii) Identity Card of Classroom.

5.3 Policy for Phase change in same location :
• In order to change phase the student has to apply with an application
in writing.
• The student has to deposit the sum of ` 1000 towards the process
charges.
• The following documents will have to be attached with an application
duly signed by the candidate for processing the shifting of student.
• Identity Card.
• Photocopy of receipt of total fees deposited.
NOTE : If a student opts for combination of two options (5.2 & 5.3) than
he/she has to pay separately as per respective head.

5.4 Policy for change in course mode (Distance Learning Course to


Classroom Course):
• The student will have to pay the difference of both the fees with the
sum of ` 500 towards the process charges.

Documents to be attached :
(i) An application signed him/her and his/her parents.
(ii) Photocopy of receipt of total fee deposited.

5.5 Policy for Scholarship:
• The student would be awarded with the scholarship according to the
following table.

• If a student is eligible for more than one scholarship then any one
scholarship (highest) would be considered.
• It is assumed that the students seeking admission in Resonance PCCP
division have read all the rules & regulations carefully and agree to
abide by all the rules.
