I. NARRATIVE REPORT

On August 28-29, Kanlungan Pilipinas BatStateU- Rosario Chapter conduct the

firtst Leadership Training with the theme: “ Rediscovering the Best Within.” This event
was held at BatStateU- Rosario Gymnasium and was participated by all of the
organization officers in BatStateU -Rosario. This was a successful event treasured by
all of the participants.

On September 26, we, the Kanlungan Pilipinas officers of BatStateU-Rosario

chapter, facilitated the leadership training of General Engineering students with the
theme, “Getting Acquainted, Bridging the Gaps, Reaching Higher Grounds”. This activity
was held in BatStateU-Rosario gymnasium and ended successfully because it was able
to build unity and deeper understanding among the members.

On October 12, officers of Kanlungan Pilipinas BatStateU- Rosario Chapter

joined the walk for a cause organized by the Alay lakad Foundation. This activity aims to
gather funds for the Out of School Youths. This was held at Luansing Plaza, Rosario,
Batangas.

On November 25-26, chosen officers of Kanlungan Pilipinas joined a NOCEI-

COMEX Environmental Camp held at Nacua Beach Sea Park and Fishing Resort in
Barangay Quilitisan, Calatagan, Batangas. The theme of the said event is “Kalikasan:
Kabataang Lider, Kaisa Ng Kalikasan. This was a successful one because the officers
was able to attain their goal which is to love and protect our mother earth.

On February 26-27, Kanlungan Pilipinas officers facilitated a teambuilding with

the theme, “Future Educators: Realizing Their Best Within”, held at BatStateU-Rosario
gymnasium. This was participated by the first year students taking Values Education
together with their instructor. This activity focused on building unity among the students.

These are the activities that were joined by Kanlungan Pilipinas Organization.
These are activities that focused on the development of different persons working as an
individual and as a group. It also deals with the advocacy of the organization to build a
better environment.

1. First Leadership Training and Skills Enhancement of Student Leaders in

BatStateU-Rosario

 Objectives:
to enhance the student’s ability to become a good leader
to develop interpersonal and intrapersonal skills among individuals

 Person’s Involved:
Officers of all organizations, Advisers

 Description:
The activity of was held last August 28-29 this year at the campus vicinity. It
started at 8:00 am of August 28 and ended at 5:30 pm of August 29.
This activity was facilitated by Mr. Herald Villarca, the founder of Kanlungan
Pilipinas. The two day program had different sets of activities that enhanced the leader’s
potentials within.
The problems encountered in the conduct of the activity were time management
and noise but these problems are just minimal.
The activity brought a harmonious relationship among the participants. This
served as a stepping stone to come up with a better development in the campus.

2. Teambuilding of the General Engineering Students

 Objectives:
to develop oneness among General Engineering students despite of their different
characters
to develop interpersonal and intrapersonal skills among individuals

 Persons Involved:
General Engineering students, Adviser, Kanlungan officers and Adviser

 Description:
The activity was held last September 26 at the school’s vicinity. The program
started at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This activity was conducted to build unity and
cooperation among the General Engineering students.

This was a very momentous event for the Kanlungan Pilipinas officers because
they were given the opportunity to facilitate in the said endeavor. This only shows that
they really have the guts to lead.
NOTE: We don't have financial report because we are just facilitators in the event.

3. Alay Lakad’s Walk for a cause

 Objective:
to gather funds for Out of School Youth

 Persons Involved:
Alay Lakad Foundation, Different Schools and Establishments in Rosario and
other Organizations

 Description:
In order to gather funds to help Out of School Youths, Alay Lakad Foundation
organized a walk for a cause last October 12, 2010, 5:30 am at Laurel Park, Rosario,
Batangas. Kanlungan Pilipinas, BatStateU-Rosario Chapter took part in the said
undertaking for we have the same advocacy.

After the walk, the participants gathered in the park to give their donations while
the organizers gave their annual report about the finances and projects of the
organizations.

NOTE: This activity doesn't require financial statement because we only gave
donations.

4. NOCEI-COMEX Environmental Camp

 Objectives
to raise environmental awareness among student leaders in CALABARZON
to expose students to environment
to recruite advocates of mother earth

 Persons Involved
 Student leaders from different schools in CALABARZON

 Description
The activity was held at Nacua Beach Sea Park and Fishing Resort in Barangay
Quilitisan, Calatagan, Batangas on November 25-26, 2011.
At our arrival in the venue, we noticed the environment and how clean it was.
The resort was a perfect picture of nature.
It includes environmental seminar, encounter with nature and cultural night. The
problems encountered by the organizers were management of the participants and
room assignments.

NOTE: Participants paid their own registration fee.

5. Team Building of the Values Education Students

 Objectives
to build unity among the first year students
to develop the student's personality
to bridge the gaps among the students

 Persons Involved
Values education students, facilitators and speaker

 Description
This activity was held on February 26-27 at the BatStateU-Rosario gymnasium. This
activity is conducted to develop the student's personalities and to make them realize
and develop the potentials they have.
There are problems that we encountered such as food shortage, the speaker is late and
the cook had an emergency.
This activity was concluded by a ceremony “Time Capsule” wherein they sacrifice their
most treasured things to be donated to the orphans.

NOTE: We don't have financial report because we are just facilitators in the event.
