ANALYSIS OF THE DATA AND RESULT OF THE STUDY

In any research work, collection of data and its analysis is the most
important aspect. Once, the data is collected it needs to be analyzed
according to the objectives of the study, to obtain any significant
information which would help in understanding the problem.

For this research study the data was collected and it was
categorized and arranged logically using statistical technique. The
statistical analysis helps in obtaining authentic results on the basis of
which concluded suggestions can be made.

For this research study, total 240 subjects including 30 male and 30
female players of Athletics, 30 male and 30 female players of Kho-Kho,
30 male and 30 female players of Handball and 30 male and 30 female
players of Kabaddi were Selected. The research study is delimited to
study of Depression, Mental Health and Life Satisfaction of 120 male and
120 female players. The variables Selected for the study were depression,
mental health, and life satisfaction level. The questionnaires were
analyzed according to the manual given with them and a detailed analysis
of the same is given below.

ANALYSIS OF THE DATA

In this research study researcher measured variables like

Depression, Mental Health and Life Satisfaction of the Athletic, Kho-
Kho, Handball and Kabaddi group.

LEVEL OF SIGNIFICANCE

To know the effect on Athletics, Kho-Kho, Handball and Kabaddi

group after applying One way Analysis of Variance (One way ANOVA)
test the difference between the means significance was checked at 0.05
level through Least Significant Different (LSD) Post Hoc Test.

Finding

In this research study, the effect on factors like Depression, Mental

Health and Life Satisfaction of the Athletic, Kho-Kho, Handball and
Kabaddi Group was measured through test and statistical analysis is
shown here in tabular and graphical form for easy understanding.

Table – 1 shows mean score of Depression of Male players of

Athletics, Kho-Kho, Handball and Kabaddi is 86.833, 75.166, 91.333 and

82.700 respectively, Sum of square and Mean of Sum of Square of among

the groups are 42453.692 and 1415.231 respectively and Sum of Square
and Mean of Sum of Square of between the groups are 161765.300 and

1394.528 respectively. It also reveals that the calculated F value is 1.015

which is not significant at 0.05 level since, the value is less than tabulated
value at 3,116 Degree of Freedom.

Discussion of Finding

Analysis of data shows that there is no significant difference found

among the Selected male players regarding Depression. The reason could
be that all the four groups are associated to sports and recreation and
these activities remove the Depression. Thus, it becomes clear that,
similarity can be same in the Depression of male players of Selected
games.

1338.902 respectively. It also reveals that the calculated F value is 1.248
which is not significant at 0.05 level since, the value is less than tabulated
value at 3,116 Degree of Freedom.

and these activities remove the life satisfaction. All the four groups are
somewhat homogeneous in nature. Thus, it becomes clear that, similarity
can be same in the Life Satisfaction of male players of Selected games.

could be that all the four groups are associated to sports and recreation
and these activities remove the life satisfaction. All the four groups are
somewhat homogeneous in nature. Thus, it becomes clear that, similarity
can be same in the Depression of female players of Selected games.
