You may choose any college in the Maryland State supported college/university system and meet the GPA required by the college you choose. Your acceptance at the college verifies eligibility for the scholarship. Financial need is the primary stipulation to receive the scholarship. The information needed to document financial need is submitted with your application and verified by the financial aid office where you are accepted. You may choose any major of your interest. The scholarship is $10,000.00 for the first year of college. It is a scholarship for tuition and mandated fees. The total amount paid will not exceed $10,000.00 for the total year. Payments are made each semester (fall and spring). An invoice from the college that list all fees by line items is required each semester. The scholarship is paid directly to the College where you are enrolled.
